You can now buy a British Paleo Diet Magazine in WHSmith. It has 100 recipes and costs £6.99. Great that Paleo is becoming more mainstream here in the UK. Has anyone else seen this magazine?
In the same section of WHSmith, another magazine that mentioned Paleo included:
- Tasty Guides: Sugar Free for £6.99
They say on the front ‘Perfect for Paleo and 5:2 Diets‘. A recipe magazine devoted to making cakes, treats and desserts using natural sweeteners and sugar alternatives. For me, this goes against Paleo principles of just eating real food so, not that ‘perfect‘ for Paleo eating. I can see that making a Paleo friendly cake on a special occasion is better than a sugar/additive laden shop version. I’m sure for a healthy and lean person, the occasional ‘healthy’ treat is fine but what about people addicted to sugar, will it not just keep their addiction to sugar?
Aside from that, it is great to see Paleo making inroads in the UK.
