1. Am I too old?
There is no upper age limit on our Retreats. Everyone is welcome
2. Am I too young?
Our retreats are for those aged 17+. There is no upper limit.
3. Are couples allowed?
Couples are welcome. Please contact us in advance for availability and to allocate a shared room.
4. Are men allowed?
YES. Our retreats are mixed gender unless specified otherwise. Rooms are single gender unless pre-arranged by couples.
4. Am I too unfit or too overweight?
No previous experience is necessary, and you can workout according to your own abilities. If certain exercises are too challenging for you, they can be modified. If you become too fatigued, you can slow down or rest. The exercise is always geared to your ability and fitness levels, and you are not pushed beyond your limits.
1. Where exactly are you located?
You will be staying in a stunning and peaceful location in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Woodbridge is a special place with ample natural beauty, riverside walks, wild nature reserves, and a large forest to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
East Anglia is also known for having one of the highest amount of sunshine in the UK with warm summers, mild winters, light rain all year, especially summer.
Woodbridge is easily accessible from most parts of the country. It’s about 1.5 hours by train from London Liverpool Street or a 1.5 – 2 hour drive. There is ample parking if you drive.
2. What day & time do I arrive & leave?
- 7 Night Retreats: Arrival: Sun 4pm, Depart: Sun 10:00am
- 5 Night Retreats: Arrival: Sun 4pm, Depart: Fri 10am
- Weekend Retreats Arrival: Fri 4pm, Depart: Sun 4pm
3. Can I get there by public transport?
Yes, the nearest train station is Woodbridge, Suffolk. We can provide a free pick up service from the nearest train station upon prior agreement & arrangement. Contact us for details.
4. What do I need to bring?
A full list will be emailed to you once you have confirmed your booking.
5. Can I bring my mobile phone or laptop?
Yes, at your own risk.
6. Does the venue have internet?
No internet services are provided or guaranteed by Primal Retreat or the venue. Most venues have GPRS availability, but this can not be guaranteed and should not be relied upon.
7. Is there a television available?
Yes, a televison can be found in the communal area (Lounge)
8. Is smoking allowed?
No smoking allowed in the property.
9. Can I have my own room?
Yes, we offer a single person supplement. Contact us for more details
10. Are the rooms en-suite?
No, the rooms are not en-suite. There are two guest bathrooms to share between all 6 guests.
11. Does Primal Retreat provide towels?
Yes, a bath towel and hand towel will be provided. We recommend that you bring 1-2 extra towels.
12. Does Primal Retreat have a laundry service?
No. We strongly recommend that you bring plenty of spare clothing for the weekend or week.
1. How do you book & pay?
All payment 3 payment options are secure:
a. Most Debit or Credit Cards (processed via paypal)

2. Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, participants can secure a place on a retreat by paying a 50% (non refundable) deposit. If you prefer, the full balance can also be paid.
3. When do I pay the full balance?
The balance due should be paid 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the retreat. We do send out an email reminder.
4. Can I cancel my booking?
In most cases, all fees paid to Primal Retreat are non-refundable.
5. Can I change my booking to another week?
Occasionally, it may be possible to swap your booking to another week if we are able to fill your place. If in case of extreme circumstances, please contact us.
6. Can I transfer my booking to a friend?
Participants can transfer their enrollment to another person to take their place for a handling charge of £50.
Primal Retreat UK
1. What exercise will I be doing?
A typical day will include:
- A long morning walk
- An early afternoon fitness session either; natural movement, boxing fitness, circuit training, tabata training
- A late afternoon yoga session.
Total exercise will be a up to 4.5 hours per day. There is plenty of time to rest and relax.
2. How much weight can you expect to lose?
Past participants have lost up to 3kg (6.6lb) in 5 nights, with up to 3 inches from their waist, 2 inches from their thighs, and 2 inches from their chest.
3. Do I need to be fit?
No, we do not have any specific requirements for fitness levels. Suitable for all & no previous experience is needed. Exercise is to your own fitness ability.
4. I have had medical conditions in the past, can I still attend?
If you have had any medical conditions that have affected your health in the past or if you have any current medical condition then we strongly recommend that you consult with your doctor before making a booking.
6. What is included in the price?
2, 5 or 7 nights accommodation in a beautiful peaceful countryside venue, up to 4.5 hours of exercise per day, all meals & drinks (coffee, tea, herbal teas & water) are included in the price. A free pickup & return from the nearest station. What you see is what you pay – there are no hidden costs.
7. What if I injure myself at the retreat?
Please report any injuries to the Primal Retreat staff.
8. Can I come on my own?
Yes, of course. Don’t worry if you want to come alone, we will place you in a room with another person of the same gender. This is a great way to make friends.
9. What if it rains?
In light rain we will still continue with outdoor exercise. In heavy rain, we provide an indoor/covered training facility.
10. Are children allowed?
Sorry, no children allowed. Primal Retreat only accepts 17 years old & above.
11. How do I spend the evenings?
Evenings are time for yourself to relax and recover. Recovery is healthy and an important part of the fat loss process. Massage and other therapy treatments are available at an extra cost.
12. Why Choose Primal Retreat?
We are unique compared to other retreats as we only take small groups on each. This is so we can offer a personalised approach. We aim to create a fun and warm environment where everyone feels welcome. We will only encourage and support you to your own individual ability.
1. What if I have certain dietary needs?
Please let us know in advance if you have any specific allergies or dietary requests such as vegetarian or require a higher carb menu. Please contact us prior to booking with details of your diet.
